Monday's Quote

I took this picture while I was in Auckland, New Zealand. It was a beautiful evening watching the ships sail and eating a lovely meal with old family friends.
Last night I watched the most amazing film called The Impossible. The movie was based on a true story about a family vacationing, when the 2004 tsunami hit. It was one of those films that you can't really put into words, because you are feeling so many different emotions at once. This morning I was left with thoughts of people's struggles around the world, the strength of the human spirit to forge ahead, and being thankful. We live our lives with struggles, some small, others bigger, but nothing really compares to when our worlds are shattered. It reminded me to be thankful for each and every day, thankful for healthy friends and family, and thankful for all the little things that I may take for granted. Appreciate your life for everything it is right now, because you never know when it can all get taken away.

  3. I live in Auckland, New Zealand :) I also saw The Impossible recently and it really made me realize and come aware about a lot of things, and being grateful especially. It put stupid things into perspective. I came out of the movie theatre in deep thought (and emotion for a long time after, it was so heartbreaking). That quote is perfect after watching it :)
