Book: Hunger Games Trilogy

If you haven't heard of the Hunger Games, you must be living under a rock. Why do I say this? because I know I was. My sister, for months had been telling me how great the series was, but I was too busy with work and school to give it a second thought. Until one day my friend and I decided to go to the movies and had no idea what we wanted to watch. It was opening day of the Hunger Games so we decided sure lets go see it. Now let me explain how great this idea of ours turned out to be. It was 10pm, show started at 10:15 and we some how got tickets to see the movie on opening day. Not only that, but we didn't have to wait in line, and got the best seats in the movie theatre. I was just one of those days when the movie gods have lined everything up so that we could watch this movie. Here is the best part neither my friend or I knew what the Hunger Games was even about haha. As he tried to wikipedia the story I decided I didn't need a summary and just decided I was going to watch the movie. By the end of the movie I loved it so much I had to read the books.

The books were amazing and with every page I turned I needed to keep reading more and more. So much so that I read the second and third book in 5 days. I probably would have finished it faster if work hadn't gotten in my way. I'm sure you can get a ton of summaries of this book on google so I won't bore you with one. What you really need to do is put this trilogy on your reading list and just dive in!

 My Favourite Quotes:

"You've got about as much charm as a dead slug."- The Hunger Games

"For there to be betrayal, there would have to have been trust first."- The Hunger Games

"Aim higher in case you fall short."- Catching Fire

"You've got to go through it to get to the end of it."- Catching Fire

"They will either want to kill you, kiss you, or be you."- Mockingjay

"You love me. Real or not real?." "Real."- Mockingjay

Thanks for reading!

  11. I couldn't agree more with you: this is one of the best stories ever! I've read the books at least five times, and I still love them beyond anything! I loved the movie as well, even if it wasn't as good as books because they had to cut out large parts of story...but still, I was amazed! I'm glad I've discovered your blog, I love it! I'm following you now :)
